British artists Colin Ruffell and Fran Slade from Brighton Sussex England welcome you to their online studio picture gallery where you can view an art exhibition of original paintings and archival prints. Their daughter Shyama Ruffell is also an artist and joins them here for a family show.
'London Daybreak' by Colin Ruffell Colin Ruffell paints in many styles. Some images are childlike and amusing, others are traditional landscapes, and yet more are complex modernist abstract relationships of colour, texture and shape. He claims that he paints in explosive bursts, necessarily punctuated by long spells of getting ready, or recovery from the last effort.

| Shyama Ruffell had her first exhibition on the Bayswater Road in London when she was seven. She went on to study textiles & worked in the fashion industry. Inspired by her travels in India & Nepal, Shyama became self-employed as a freelance fashion textiles designer. LATEST Colin launched a new super-premium portfolio of limited edition prints called 'London Gold' at the Spring Fair in Birmingham UK in February. NEWS Jan 2008 Fran and Colin spent five weeks down-under over Xmas and New Year visiting family as well as dealers and galleries in Western Australia. During the trip they met, and swapped paintings with, aborigine artists at Ayers Rock for a interactive comparison of art and aesthetics.
